Important information for all Black Belt Candidates.
Welcome, candidates, to our 98th Black Belt Graduation! Together with the Korea Moo Duk Kwan Association, we are honored to host the 2024 graduating class for ITMA and KTMA.
Here are a few key things to know to help make this weekend a success:
Black Belt Applications: All black belt applications MUST go through your schoolâs Head Master and meet all qualification, payment, and membership requirements outlined by your dojang. Your Master will request the appropriate KTMA and ITMA dan rank certification from our national office. Upon passing your examination, you will be awarded both KTMA and ITMA certifications at this event.
Boards and Bricks: All boards and bricks will be provided by the committee. If you are performing additional techniques and require extra boards or bricks, please contact Master David Nonhoff at davidnonhoff1@hotmail.com to make a request.
Friday, Oct. 11 - Seminars and Technical Test:
- Friday will feature seminars conducted by 8th and 9th Dan KTMA Grand Masters. Take advantage of this valuable resource to further your Taekwondo and Moo Duk Kwan education.

Sunday, Oct. 13 - Seattle Tour:

If you would like to participate, please contact Mr. Alex at instructoralextkd@gmail.com. The tour will end by 4 pm, allowing time for travel plans.
Reminder: Monday, October 14 is a Federal Holiday, so feel free to plan an extra travel day if needed.
Good luck to all candidates!
KTMA Age and Time Requirements
This is a minimum time requirements set by Kukkiwon and adopted my Korea Moo Duk Kwan Association. This does not include your dojang Head Master's requirements for advancement. Most dojangs require additional time between dan testing. Many dojangs have additional, more relevant curriculum that is not in the Kukkiwon or KTMA requirements. Your Master will determine when you are ready to promote to the next level.
